If you needed proof that small tweaks can make a big impact, look no further than Lopez’s latest selfie. The multi-hyphenate seems to have added a few pops of blonde to her caramel brunette color for the last weeks of summer. Two darker blonde pieces frame either side of her face to really draw the eye, with ribbons of golden and baby blonde woven through her mid-lengths and ends for more dimension and brightness. It’s not all-over blonde highlights or a full lived-in balayage, but rather a few strategic blonde placements that make a big impact to her overall look. Her just-past-shoulder-length hair was styled in soft ’70s waves to really show off the new tones. “Still got me looking like the baddest,” Lopez wrote alongside her selfie and mirror shot, and while she was referring to her ALC outfit, the sentiment also applies to this fresh, sunny blonde, not to mention her colorist’s skills.
