Welcome to July, VirgoDuring June, you saw some shake-ups in your social circle. While you grew closer to some friends, there’s a chance that you cut off a disloyal or mean fake acquaintance. Changes are hard, even when they bring us closer to joy. Thankfully, a bold and bright full moon in Capricorn and your 5th House of Pleasure on Monday, July 3, asks you to make memories with a trusted friend, whether you opt for a home-cooked meal or going out for karaoke.

When the warrior planet Mars enters your sign, Virgo, on Monday, July 10, you will feel more confident than ever. Just remember to use your powers for good. When we feel secure in ourselves, the loveliest thing one can do is share that security with others by reminding them how much we care. During the new moon in compassionate Cancer and your 11th House of Friendship on Monday, July 17, the stars ask you to text your chosen family and see how everyone is doing. If a comrade needs support, spend the new moon like you enjoyed the full one by loving on friends. The more we give, the more we receive. This is especially true for Virgos, the healers of the zodiac.

Venus, the romantic ruler of love, cash, and beauty, begins its feared retrograde starting on Saturday, July 22, and lasting through Sunday, September 3. Astrologers warn that Venus retrograde can delay any money discussions (although please don’t turn to horoscopes for financial advice in this economy). Also, romances may feel stagnant, and there are better times to make major changes to your appearance, such as plastic surgery. Of course, don’t stop your life due to a retrograde — for instance, we do not condone canceling crucial appointments, such as gender-affirmation surgery or any other life-saving procedure — but perhaps opt for some temporary ink if you want to get a tattoo during the planet’s backward dance just to be safe.

But playing with summer makeup and hairstyles is fine, and the best way to survive Venus retrograde is to dive deep into self-care. Also, on Saturday, July 22, vain Leo season begins. Then, the next day, on Sunday, July 23, Chiron, an astrologically significant comet associated with healing trauma, goes retrograde through Tuesday, December 26. The triple punch of Venus retrograde, Leo season, and Chiron’s backward dance comes with one kind order: tend to yourself. Whether you flourish from therapy, time with your chosen family, or pleasures such as sleep and skin care, go hard on self-care. Remember, you’re the healer of the zodiac, and that means you have to focus on your own journey, too. You deserve all of the pleasure, Virgo, and we’ll see you in August.
