Country legend Shania Twain is a redhead again. The superstar channeled her “That Don’t Impress Me Much” self at the 2023 CMT Music Awards on April 2, but she ditched the leopard print catsuit for a purple two-piece crop top and shorts to accept her Equal Play Award.

Twain has been quite the color chameleon as of late, switching between her signature long and lush brunette and fun colors like pastel pink at the People’s Choice Awards and bright neon red at the Grammys. For her CMT appearance, she softened the bright red slightly and opted for a vibrant copper worn in loose, shiny waves down her back and paired with a black cowboy hat. Hey, it is the CMT Awards after all — you gotta have at least one cowboy hat in the crowd.

The musician looks amazing as a redhead, of course. The color makes her hazel eyes pop and feels like the perfect match for her warm, bubbly and welcoming personality; you can practically feel her excitement and joy radiating off the photos from the event. For the CMT Awards, Twain kept her makeup simple to let the two-piece set and hair do the talking and stuck to her go-to defined eyes with a hint of pink lipstick.
