Welcome to May, PiscesMercury retrograde began during April, causing the usual annoying travel delays and typos. However, on Monday, May 1, a much more interesting retrograde begins. Pluto goes retrograde in Aquarius and your 12th House of the Unconscious. Pluto, the planet of the underworld, sounds super goth. And, indeed, it’s all about death and rebirth. But, on a lighter note, that just means makeover time. It’s been a tough few years, Pisces, and many of us have put our passions on hold or are experiencing creative blocks. As the final sign of the zodiac and a water sign, you are profoundly intuitive and even psychic. So when Pluto goes retrograde, your assignment is to check in with your desires, whether to play an instrument, write a book, or enter a healthy relationship.

You continue to feel philosophical when Friday, May 5, brings a full moon and lunar eclipse in fellow water sign Scorpio. Eclipses can often trigger anxiety, and with the influence of Scorpio, you might feel some jealousy around this time, which is an emotion you usually pride yourself on being above. So, relax and stay in around this date, and try to stay off your phone. The eclipse is for lots of snacks, sleep, and TV marathons.

You’ll have plenty of company once romantic Venus enters Cancer and your 5th House of Pleasure on Sunday, May 7. Get ready to feel good. If you’re dating or in a relationship, this transit adds a boost of passion to your partnership. It’s also a great time to enjoy a sex toy with a partner or solo. And, if you’re not dating or asexual, treat yourself to a massage, long bath, haircut, or all of the above. Mercury retrograde ends on Sunday, May 14, so you should be able to communicate your needs, from hairstyles to sexual desires, seamlessly.

May asks all the star signs to practice self-care, but especially you, Pisces. You can have a reputation for being flaky, like the scales of the fish that represents you. While this is an unfair portrayal, if you do feel like bailing on plans, you have an astrologer-approved excuse when the fighter planet Mars enters bossy Leo on Saturday, May 20. The energy is combative. You may notice petty disagreements between friends. Don’t get sucked into them. Rather, just like during the eclipse, give yourself permission to enjoy the lazy road. Rest is crucial, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Not to mention, once flirty Gemini season begins on Sunday, May 21, life gets busier, and you’re grateful for the rest. This is an ideal season for low-key but meaningful times with friends, whether it’s an afternoon BBQ or a weekend getaway. Enjoy, and see you in June.
