North West’s new braids are long enough to serve as a jump rope, and her mom Kim Kardashian even put it to the test!

West showed off her extra-, extra-, extra-long braids while on a trip to Japan with her mom and some friends, posting a TikTok video of her mom hopping into jump over the lengths and show off her jump rope skills. “Rapunzel rapunzel jump through my hair,” West wrote on the video. To say these braids are long is an understatement, as they fully trail on the floor behind West as she explores a museum with her bestie. (See them in action in another video.) The budding TikTok superstar wears her hair in two high pigtails with the super-long lengths flowing all the way down her back and past her feet. If I had to guess, I’d say they’re about six feet long, but they could be even longer! West’s braids are obviously the major eye-catcher here, but if you zoom in on the second video, you can see a portion of her hair has been colored red. It’s so fun watching her run through the museum with her hair flowing behind her, as though Rapunzel escaped her tower and jetted off to Japan instead.

Of course, this fab hairstyling is par for the course for West, who has become nearly as influential in the beauty space as her mother. Earlier this summer, West, Kardashian and grandma Kris Jenner documented their trip to a scalp spa that West found on TikTok, including up close and personal looks at their scalps. (It was honestly fascinating.) West has also tried her hand at tutorial videos with a little help from her mom, and her zombie makeup skills are nothing to scoff at either. Given that West has practically grown up in a glam room, it’s not a huge surprise that she’d cultivate an interest in hair and makeup like the rest of her famous fam. I’m pretty sure she’ll be taking over the family business in a few years. Watch out, SKKN!
