Kim Kardashian appears to be resurrecting another hairstyle trend of the mid-aughts: long, face-framing bangs. Instead of dramatic curtain bangs (like the version sister Khloé tried on for a recent photo shoot), Kim’s new ‘do is more reminiscent of pre-makeover Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada.
The reality star modeled her new hairstyle on her Instagram Stories, with several clips of herself tousling her bangs while wearing a variety of Skims pieces. “We cut bangs, guys,” Kardashian says in one clip, while Ariana Grande‘s “Imagine” plays in the background and she banters with her stylist Chris Appleton, who is off-camera.
Kardashian appears to have gotten the fresh cut just in time for the Skims Valentine’s Day pop-up at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. In another IG post, she wrote about how meaningful this event was to her. “Having my own [Skims] pop-up store at the Century City mall means the world to me in so many ways,” the text reads. “This was the mall my friends and I would beg our parents to go hang out at every weekend growing up. That little girl never dreamed I would have my own store here and I couldn’t be more proud of my entire [SKims] team for making my wildest dreams come true.”
