Forget basketball: If you ask us who the real winner of this year’s celebrity-packed annual NBA All-Star Game is, we’ve got to give it to Janelle Monae‘s towering topknot and blown-out side bang.
During the game on February 19, she twirled, guarded, and dominated the court all with a high braided bun that didn’t dare fall out of place. But then when it came time for Monae’s red-carpet photo op in front of the NBA-branded backdrop, she changed into a Mugler bodysuit and switched up her hairstyle with the spiraling topknot that sat high at the top of the crown with her side bang grazing the left brow bone and swooping behind her ear.
Twitter definitely served as the multihyphenate’s courtside fan, too; one user captioned their four-photo tweet of Monae with, “Janelle Monáe was truly THEEE moment at NBA all star weekend.” We couldn’t agree more; Monae played with team Dwyane Wade and sported a hairstyle that surely scored a W.
