Angelina Jolie just added to her collection of body art, but so far, the exact designs are shrouded in mystery. Hey, I love a good guessing game, so let’s put our heads together and figure out what, exactly, the Oscar winner may have inked on her palms.

Our first look at the tattoos comes from tattoo artist Mr. K, an artist at celeb favorite Bang Bang Tattoo. (Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Rihanna have all been inked there.) In Mr. K’s photo, we see Jolie’s hands turned palm-up with blackout blocks over both middle fingers. “Still can’t believe that I actually grabbed her hand and tattooed her,” Mr. K wrote. “Guess what she got on her palm?”

Challenge accepted. Jolie has a plethora of tattoos, including geographical coordinates to honor each of her children; “Know your rights” on the base of her neck; and a Tennessee Williams quote on one arm, among many others. What could she have chosen for her middle fingers? We know Jolie likes inking significant phrases on herself — quotes and words that mean something to her, that she can look at and draw inspiration and strength from. Could the hand ink be two words from a quote, or a meaningful reminder of her humanitarian work? Since Jolie has six kids, it’s unlikely that the palm tats are another nod to her children — you’d need more fingers involved! It could say “Oscar winner,” a fun reminder of her Academy Award-winning status, or “Atelier Jolie,” a nod to her clothing line. Maybe some dragons for Maleficent? TBH, the possibilities here are nearly endless, as Jolie’s body art collection is diverse and varied and full of surprises.

But one thing is for certain — these are not diss tattoos, despite their middle finger placement. Mr. K did clarify in the comments that Jolie’s tattoos have nothing to do with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, and that he would reveal the actual design soon. Consider my eyes officially peeled.star
