Celebrities loooove a bleached brow when they want to make a big statement on the red carpet or in a photoshoot. Lightening your brows almost instantly changes your face and gives you a high-fashion vibe, so it’s no surprise that the technique has taken up permanent residence in a makeup artist’s bag of tricks. Kylie Jenner is the latest star to give practically invisible brows a spin and honestly, it’s really working for her — so much so that I think she should make it permanent.

Jenner debuted the bleached brows for a new campaign announcing her as the face of Jean Paul Gaultier. (She wore the brand to the Met Gala, standing out in vivid crimson amidst the black, white and baby pink.) For her first big photoshoot with the French fashion house, Jenner swapped her deep brunette hair for a light baby blonde and bleached her brows to match.

Jenner’s makeup artist Ariel Tejada, who has been glamming the reality star and Kylie Cosmetics founder for years, shared a handful of behind-the-scenes snapshots from the shoot to give followers a full look at Jenner’s blonde brows. Her dark arches have been lightened several shades to a pale blonde that appears almost invisible in some lights and delicately tinted in others. Tejada paired the brows with flushed pink “just ran three miles” cheeks and a wash of pale pink shadow across Jenner’s lids for an otherworldly, sculpted effect, skipping the mascara on her lower lashes in favor of just a flick of color and curl at the outer corners. Another blink-and-you’ll-miss-it detail to note: a short, neutral manicure in place of Jenner’s usual ultra-long stilettos!

I can’t be the only one who thinks this is a look on Jenner; it gives her edge but feels soft, not harsh. She’s lightened her brows a few times in the past, so she’s obviously a fan of the transformative technique. Kylie, I’m just saying … we have a handy guide to DIYing bleached brows right here!
