Gabrielle Union is here to save the day! The actor’s extra-, extra-, extra-long ponytail is giving cartoon superhero chic in the best way, and I can just see her flying through the sky in a sleek catsuit with that ponytail flying triumphantly behind her.
Before you start recasting your favorite animated series with Union as the star, she actually wore the ponytail to the premiere of her new Netflix movie The Perfect Find in New York City. Her go-to hairstylist, Larry Sims, created a super sleek, slicked back foundation for the ponytail, then gathered the hair at the crown of her head and wrapped a section of hair around the base to hide any pins or bands. The ponytail itself cascaded down one shoulder, winding all the way past Union’s hips in glossy loose waves and serving as the perfect compliment to her bedazzled Prada halter minidress. The pony was clearly the beauty hero of the night, but Union’s makeup was predictably on point too. Dramatic double winged liner and a touch of lip gloss finished off her premiere look, and in true Union fashion, this is one for the books. Never underestimate the power of a well-timed ponytail.
