A few days ago, we were fawning over Gabrielle Union’s goddess box braids, wishing we were on a beach instead of stuck at work. It seems that Union must have read our praises and wanted to make us jealous again with another gorgeous protective style: Bantu knots with a heart-shaped cornrow accent.
This new hairstyle was debuted on the Flawless by Gabrielle Union Instagram to tease a new product launch. In the video, Union, wearing a lavender top with a lime-green skirt, gave her meanest catwalk through a hair salon while holding hands with her adorable daughter, Kaavia, who was wearing a pink corduroy dress.
Most of Union’s hair was sectioned off, swept back, and twisted into chunky Bantu knots. She paired them with some swirly baby hairs on the perimeter of her hairline. On one side of her head, her hair was braided into a heart, which you can see best in the last few seconds of the video. (We couldn’t get a closer look at her makeup, but her berry lip was simply *chef’s kiss.*)
