There’s nothing cuter than a Mommy and Me matching moment, especially when Gabrielle Union and her daughter Kaavia James are involved. The dynamic mother-daughter duo just got the cutest matching hairstyles and according to Union, it was all Kaavia’s idea.
The actor and Flawless by Gabrielle Union cofounder shared some sweet pics of her and her mini-me in their lookalike hairstyles on what appears to be a casual day at home. “Imitation IS the best form of flattery. @kaaviajames suggested I get the same hairstyle that she got and I was honored to oblige,” Union wrote. “Twinning is winning. Anything for her.”
The hairstyles in question were styled by Wankaya H., who often works with the pair, and the matching looks have everything: Fulani braids wrapped into mini space buns and accented with beads — chunky brown circular beads with gold and orange details for Mom and pink for Kaavia to match her bright magenta T-shirt. You can tell the beauty mogul-in-training is living her best life matching her mom. At the end of the carousel, we see dad Dwyane Wade checking out his girls’ new looks while the pair hangs out in Kaavia’s playroom. “Oh, I love it,” he says. “Twinsies!”
