Cara Delevingne is ready for summer with her fresh new wavy bob.

The model said goodbye to her long lengths and rooty bronde in favor of a collarbone-skimming chop courtesy stylist Riawna Capri and sandy blonde color with sunny highlights by Nikki Lee. Delevingne’s color looks natural and lived-in, as though she’s been spending her days frolicking on the beach and letting the sun do its thing, and the cut and style makes it seem like she just hopped out of the ocean and let her hair air-dry into the most perfectly imperfect waves.

Stylist Ryan Richman used a flat iron to give Delevingne that unmistakable beachy, wavy texture. “I’ve always found that using styling tools in an unconventional way can give you so many amazing textures and results,” he told Allure, sharing that he used the T3 Single Pass Style Max 1″ Flat Iron on the model and actor. “I’ve always loved the shape of this iron for creating beach waves. It has slightly squared off sides and just enough roundness on top to give you a really unique bend in the hair.” Starting at the root, Richman took one-inch sections of Delevingne’s hair and worked in an “S” shape to create the wave, then finished with Aveda’s Light Elements Defining Whip to break up the waves and add definition.

The cut and style may be all about undone cool, but the model’s makeup is pure fashion chic. Delevingne made her pale blue-green eyes pop with a layer of orange-red eye shadow and brushed her signature full brows up just slightly, finishing her makeup off with a touch of neutral lipstick.

Previously, the star sported a Nutella brown color, though she’s also been known to dabble in platinum blonde and honey blonde too. She can basically pull off any beauty look, including the adorable pixie cut she rocked back in 2017. If Delevingne says it’s time to go short for summer, I’m listening!
