In April, Billboard named Shakira its first-ever Latin Woman of the Year and honored her the following month at the inaugural Mujeres Latinas en la Müsica gala, which translates to Latin Women in Music. Billboard invited Shakira back for their Latin Music Week, which ran from October 2 to 6, for a Q&A session where she wore maybe the longest hair I’ve ever seen on her.
For the event, the Colombian singer wore a flared leather dress with matching thigh-high boots. Her blonde highlighted hair was parted off-center. The tips of her honey-blonde waves touched the seats of the emerald green couch she was sitting on.

Her hair was styled with the loosest of waves, which makes us wonder how they were achieved. Her natural hair texture is quite curly, so we know she didn’t just wash and go before arriving at the event. Because the texture looks lived in, it might be the result of old curls that have lost some of their volume or Shakira’s casual version of water waves.
