Pigtails and space buns have been my go-to hairstyles since I was a child — to the point that my classmates jokingly called me Princess Leia often — so I always love seeing variations of any “double” hairstyle. Today, I’m loving Selena Gomez‘s dual rope twists, which are far higher up on her head than most adults would ever dare to go (I should know, I’ve tried something similar and ended up giving more Pippy Longstocking than A-list celebrity).
The Only Murders in the Building actor shared a selfie showing off her pigtails on September 21 to her Instagram Stories. She split her hair down the middle and gathered each side into two high ponytails right on the back of her head. Each ponytail was split into two, twisted together until there was about two inches of hair left, and secured with a rubber band. Curly tendrils of hair were left at her sideburns.
She definitely packed the makeup on for this full-glam look, most likely using her own Rare Beauty products. She must have been watching siren eyes tutorials on TikTok before she created this smoked-out cat eye. There seems to be a hint of white on her lower lash line as well. Her cheeks were sculpted with contour and buffed with a pink blush. The finishing touch was her nude lipstick.
