A new TV spot for Thor: Love and Thunder reveals tickets will be available this Monday, June 13, and shows more of the Guardians of the Galaxy in action in the upcoming Marvel sequel.

Thor: Love and Thunder sees Chris Hemsworth’s thunder god returning to the big screen for his fourth solo outing, an honor not yet extended to any of Thor’s fellow Avengers. The film is being helmed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi and sees the Asgardian joining forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, with whom he was last seen at the end of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

The new Thor: Love and Thunder TV spot comes with a wealth of new footage, ahead of the reveal that ticket sales open on Monday. The footage offers a new look at the Guardians of the Galaxy in action as they get irritated with Thor. After Drax proclaims “We’re all about to die,” Rocket tells the God of Thunder, “You said this would be a relaxing holiday!” to which Thor retorts, “I said it was going to be like a relaxing holiday.”

The TV spot also shows Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher clashing with Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, who is wielding one of Zeus’s golden thunderbolts. Check out the new trailer below:

How much of a role the Guardians of the Galaxy will have in Thor: Love and Thunder is not yet clear, though the film’s initial trailer seems to suggest they will be parting ways with Thor early on. Drax’s fears of imminent death are likely unfounded, given that the Guardians have at least two more appeances lined up – this year’s The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney Plus and 2023’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Here is the synopsis for Thor: Love and Thunder:

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Taika Waititi and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Russell Crowe.
