This being a teaser trailer and all, it’s hard to tell exactly what surprises are in store in The Menu, but we gather there’s a dark secret simmering beneath the surface of this dinner party…

The film, penned by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss, “is a darkly comedic psychological thriller set in the world of eccentric culinary culture, centering on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu. Taylor-Joy will play one half of the couple. Fiennes is playing the chef.”

The cast also includes Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Judith Light, Reed Birney, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castro, Mark St. Cyr, Rob Yang, and John Leguizamo.

Adam McKay (The Big Short) is producing The Menu for Searchlight.
