The Duffer Brothers revealed the second volume of Stranger Things 4 will have very long episodes.
Stranger Things 4 will begin next week with Netflix splitting the season in half. The second volume will hit the streaming service on July 1st.
It’s already been revealed that Netflix’s expensive season will feature longer episodes, and creator Matt Duffer revealed to TheWrap that the later episodes will be as long as some movies:
“Seven and nine in particular are movies. And nine is a long movie.”

After Matt Duffer teased just how long the episodes will be, Ross Duffer then revealed the season four finale will be at least two hours long:
“We’re still refining it but we will say that it is over two hours. It’s a big one.”

“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
Created by the Duffer Brothers, the Netflix series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quinn.
