When Rita Moreno attends the Oscars, she makes it memorable. In 2018, she wore the same dress she wore in 1962 to win her Best Supporting Actress Academy Award and looked just as stunning the second time around. So how can she possibly outdo herself for the 60th anniversary of her West Side Story win? With a tiny little face tattoo, to start.

Having legendarily originated the role of Anita onscreen in 1961, Moreno graced the remake of 2021’s West Side Story, this time playing the newly created role of Valentina. Although not nominated this time around — Ariana DeBose is nominated for the same role Moreno won for — she showed up looking like a winner, and she knows it.

Before happily telling E! host Laverne Cox that she’s 90 years old, Moreno shared that her gown is by Carolina Herrera. Then, touching her feathery headpiece, she said, “This is from France, and I just thought, ‘What the hell?’ And then I put on a black wig underneath because what the hell?” She then pointed to a black, heart-shaped stamp on her cheekbone. “And then I put on this little thing because I thought, ‘What the hell?'”

Joyously laughing with Cox, Moreno continued, “I just love the way I look, you know? Kill me, sue me.” We will be doing neither, you icon, you!
