A new TV spot for Moon Knight features more footage of Oscar Isaac suited up in the Disney Plus series.
So far, the Marvel Studios shows on Disney Plus have explored pre-existing characters like Scarlet Witch, Loki, Hawkeye, and others. However, Moon Knight will mark the first time an origin tale will be told episodically. Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac will make his MCU debut as Marc Spector in Moon Knight later this month.
Based on the footage released so far, it appears Moon Knight won’t be a traditional Marvel origin story. This is mainly due to Oscar Isaac’s Marc Spector suffering from a dissociative identity disorder. Thus, we will be on the journey with Spector as he discovers his Egyptian roots. The closest we’ve probably seen to this approach was with Captain Marvel, which also saw an MCU hero revisit the past to discover their origins.
Moon Knight is still a few weeks away, but more and more footage is revealing Oscar Isaac’s transformation into a superhero. Marvel Studios just dropped a new TV spot that sees Steven Grant encounter Marc Spector and promising one of the craziest MCU entries to date. You can check out the latest look at the upcoming series below.
Here is the synopsis for Moon Knight:
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Starring Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, and May Calamawy, the series is set to make its Disney Plus debut on March 30th.
