A Moon Knight TV spot finds Oscar Isaac’s protagonist losing his mind.

With the first two episodes of Moon Knight out now, fans have had the chance to get themselves acquainted with Oscar Isaac as both Steven Grant and Marc Spector. The duo share a body as a result of dissociative identity disorder, and embark on a dangerous quest in Egypt as they deal with their respective identities.

The first two episodes of Moon Knight have given fans a taste at how the complex identities Oscar Isaac brings to life are adapted from the comic book panels to the screen in live-action form. Well, it looks like things are only going to get more difficult for our protagonist, given that a mid-season TV spot for the series has dropped, revealing Steven Grant losing his mind in a mental hospital.

One of the most intriguing elements of Moon Knight is how it places viewers squarely in the point-of-view of the titular protagonist, giving the same feelings of disorientation to get a sense at how Steven/Marc deals with their dissociative identity disorder. As the season progresses, fans will likely get to witness Oscar Isaac’s brilliant performance unfold as his character(s) come to terms with their issues, while dealing with all the threats they must face.

Here is the synopsis for the series:

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Starring Oscar Isaac, May Calamawy, Karim El Hakim, F. Murray Abraham, and Ethan Hawke. The first two episodes of the new MCU series is now available to stream on Disney Plus, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
