A new promo for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness offers a better look at Rachel McAdams’ return as Christine Palmer.

2016’s Doctor Strange introduced Rachel McAdams in the role of Dr. Christine Palmer, as the colleague and former love of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr. Stephen Strange. Strange ultimately left Christine behind in that film, as he started his new life as the Master of the Mystic Arts. Marvel’s animated Disney Plus series, What If…?, explored Strange’s regret over losing Christine in an episode that saw him losing himself to dark magic, possibly setting up a darker Strange’s appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The new extended spot offers a look at Christine Palmer walking down the aisle on her wedding day. This could potentially be taking place in another of the multiverse’s many realities, making the Christine seen here a variant rather than the version of the character encountered in Doctor Strange. Another shot shows her in a lab coat, surrounded by similarly dressed scientists and the Ultron drones glimpsed in the film’s trailer, beside an imprisoned America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). Check out the new promo below:

As well as giving fans a better look at Rachel McAdams’ return as Christine in Multiverse of Madness, the new promo also features a look at Strange and Wanda Maximoff in action, with glimpses of darker variants of both of them.
