Ms. Marvel is the latest MCU series to launch on Disney Plus, but fans may have spotted a hint that another Marvel hero will be making a cameo in the series.

Ms. Marvel introduces Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan to the MCU, telling the story of her origin as the titular superhero ahead of her big-screen appearance in The Marvels next year. In that film, Kamala will be joining forces with her hero, Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, as well as Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau. However, some fans think they have spotted a hint that Ms. Marvel will be teaming up with another MCU hero during her Disney Plus series.

The credits for Ms. Marvel‘s first episode, “Generation Why,” list Chris Milone as the “Makeup Artist to Ms. Steinfeld.” This would appear to refer to Hailee Steinfeld, who played Kate Bishop in Hawkeye on Disney Plus. That series saw Kate work alongside Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton/Hawkeye and seemingly ended with him passing the moniker onto her.

With rumors circulating for a while now that Marvel are setting up a Young Avengers team for the MCU, fans might assume that an appearance from Hailee Steinfeld’s Hawkeye in Ms. Marvel could help lay the foundations for that team’s emergence. Both Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan are younger “second generation” Avengers, following in the footsteps of more established heroes, and so both are likely candidates for the MCU’s Young Avengers lineup.

It’s possible, however, that this is nothing more than a simple mistake in Ms. Marvel‘s credits. It may be that elements were “copied and pasted” over from other Marvel series’ credits and the name of Hailee Steinfeld’s makeup artist from Hawkeye was overlooked and accidentally left unchanged. Steinfeld did not appear in Episode 1 of Ms. Marvel, so it would be odd to see this credit deliberately listed on this episode, even if she were to appear later on. This makes it seem likely the credit is just a mistake on Marvel’s part.

Here is the synopsis for Ms. Marvel:

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?

Ms. Marvel stars Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, and Farhan Akhtar.
