Headed our way sometime this year, “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai” puts an animated spin on the popular horror-comedy franchise, with the series coming to HBO Max. Ahead of its debut on the streaming platform, however, “Secrets of the Mogwai” will world premiere at the upcoming Annecy Animation Festival, Variety has announced this morning.

The animated prequel series will premiere at the festival on June 13, so don’t expect to be streaming “Secrets of the Mogwai” on HBO Max until this summer at the earliest.
