The first images of Rachel Zegler as Snow White in Disney’s live-action remake have been revealed.
Production on the upcoming Disney live-action adaptation of their original animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is underway, and actress Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) is set to portray the iconic princess alongside Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), who will play the the Evil Queen.
Behind-the-scenes photos from the production of Snow White have surfaced the web, in which we finally get our first look at Rachel Zegler in her costume lifted straight from the original animated film. You can check it out down below:
Steven Spielberg cast Rachel Zegler as Maria in his version of West Side Story, which released back in December to critical acclaim, earning the film seven Academy Award nominations, including a win for Ariana DeBose for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role. The film was Zegler’s film debut, and her performance was also critically acclaimed.
Following her role in West Side Story, Rachel Zegler is set to star in the upcoming DC Extended Universe film, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which she is rumored to also appear alongside Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. At the age of 21, the actress already has a filmography that any other performer can only dream about. To work on a film with Steven Spielberg, have a role in a superhero movie, and play Snow White, it’s safe to say that the future is bright for Ms. Zegler.
Directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson, Snow White stars Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot, and Andrew Burnap. New songs from Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will be featured in the film.
