Dwayne Johnson has revealed the world premiere release date for the first Black Adam trailer.
After many years in development hell and delays, Dwayne Johnson is finally bringing Black Adam to the big screen. The DC Extended Universe project, which the movie star has consistently teased will significantly shift the paradigm in the franchise, had some of its first footage teased earlier this year thanks to a sizzle reel of upcoming DC Films. However, we have yet to see an official trailer for the long-awaited movie.
Well, fans eager for that first official trailer for Black Adam are in luck. On his official Instagram, Dwayne Johnson shared a behind-the-scenes photo with director Jaume Collett-Serra, in which he is suited up in the costume going over what looks to be some nots with him. As reshoots are almost complete, Johnson revealed the official release date for the trailer:
With the first trailer for Black Adam set to be released on June 8, that is roughly a little under two weeks away. Although we did get some official footage earlier this year in the DC sizzle reel, as well as that sneak peek we got during DC Fandome 2021, we have yet to have a trailer that has fully encapsulated what to expect. Here’s hoping that this highly-anticipated trailer delivers on the goods, and more importantly, the movie itself delivers on the goods. After all, Dwayne Johnson has been preparing for this cinematic moment for many years.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson as the titular anti-hero, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.
Black Adam is set to hit theaters on October 22nd, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film, the future of the DC Multiverse, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
